How to buy

  • 1. Buy it

    No hidden fees. Your payment is protected by Glyde until your item arrives. Your credit card information is protected by industry standard SSL encryption.

  • 2. It Arrives

    Glyde tracks your item and sends you an email upon delivery. If you are happy with the item, the payment is released to the seller.

  • 3. Rest Easy

    If the game isn’t as described you have 48 hours to reject the transaction and return the game. You and the seller will share return shipping costs. See Glyde’s complete transaction policies.

  • 4. Enjoy

    You just got a great deal!

How to sell

  • 1. List it

    No upfront fees. List in 10 seconds! You only pay Glyde 12% of the sale price and the cost of a Glyde Mailer when the item sells.

  • 2. It Sells

    Once your item sells, Glyde sends you an email and a pre-stamped, pre-addressed mailer.

  • 3. Mail It

    Just place your item into the Mailer and drop it in the mail by the next day.

  • 4. Get Paid

    Once the buyer receives the item, proceeds are deposited into your Glyde account (created for you at registration). Withdraw your money at any time via bank transfer or check.

  • 1.) What is Glyde?
    Glyde is the next generation eCommerce marketplace, where buying and selling is truly easy, affordable, and safe. GameMarket is powered by Glyde's intelligent eCommerce engine, pricing tools, and peer-to-peer network.
  • 2.) How is GameSpot involved in all of this?
    We at GameSpot have recognized that Glyde offers a unique service that enables buyers and sellers to connect directly, rather than passing their pre-owned merchandise through a middle-man. We are integrating Glyde's service into the GameSpot experience to make buying and selling even easier. Over time additional benefits will be made available to buyers and sellers in the GameMarket.
  • 3.) Can I use GameMarket where I live?
    GameMarket is currently available only to residents in the contiguous United States.
  • 4.) Are there any listing fees?
    There are no listing fees. Listing a game is absolutely free and only takes a few seconds.
  • 5.) So how much money do I get to keep when my game sells?
    You pay Glyde 12% of the sale price, as well as the cost of a pre-stamped, pre-addressed mailer, typically $1.00 - $1.25, depending on the item. These come out of the proceeds of your sale, and you get to keep everything else.
  • 6.) Ok, I've just sent out the game. How do I collect my money?
    Glyde tracks the item and deposits proceeds into your Glyde account two days after delivery, unless the buyer reports an issue. Your balance can go towards future purchases on GameMarket, or you can withdraw it at any time via an electronic bank deposit (free) or by requesting a check in the mail ($2.00 processing fee). If it has been more than two days after your game has been delivered and you still haven't received any payment, contact service@glyde.com.
  • 7.) I'm being asked to register for an account. Who is this account with?
    When completing a purchase or listing you will be taken through steps to set up a Glyde account. This account is separate from your GameSpot account. A separate Glyde account is required because Glyde is collecting credit card information and facilitating the transactions.
  • 8.) Why do I have to provide my credit card information when listing a game for sale?
    This is to verify your identity. Your credit card will NOT be charged from the listing process. It also ensures that you as a seller can be charged appropriate return fees if a buyer returns a game as not-as-described.
  • 9.) My game just sold! When can I expect my pre-addressed, pre-stamped mailer?
    You can expect the mailer to arrive in about 2-3 business days.
  • 10.) The game I bought wasn't in the condition that was described. What is Glyde's return policy?
    You have 48 hours to return the game if it is not-as-described. You can read about the return policy in detail here.
  • 11.) I still haven't received the game I bought. What now?
    There may be a problem with the shipment from the seller. If your item fails to arrive, you will receive a refund. You'll want to contact Glyde customer support at service@glyde.com.
