David Godow joined Ballotpedia as a staff writer in May 2011. He focuses on state executives and dabbles in various other projects on Ballotpedia, including state legislatures. His primary focus is on State Attorneys General and Secretaries of State.

Godow's beat includes state executive goings-on in a variety of states, including: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois and Kentucky.

Originally from what he calls "the alternately sweltering and frigid swamp of Chicago," Godow now spends most of his days in sunny Washington, D.C. He graduated in 2009 from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN, where he majored in economics and Russian.
