The big day is nearly upon us... the last eight of more than 300 hopefuls are awaiting the grand final of the Chortlte Student Comedy Awards at the Edinburgh Fringe.

  • The event Ð which has previously featured the Inbetweeners' Simon Bird and Radio 1's Tom Deacon ÐÊtakes place at Assembly George Square at 4pm on August 28. Click here for tickets.

    This year's finalists are: Chris Quaile, Glenn Moore, Matthew Winning as Steph E. Graph, Richard Gadd, Richard Hanrahan, Richard Stainbank and Rob Carter
