Saw Martin at Grantham last night ,Great show from the start till the finish.Well put together set , but also very quick off the cuff. Highly recommended.

Looking like a slinky hipped Paul Weller without the airbrushing, Martin explodes onto the stage in a tsunami of energy and madness. He grabs the audience by the balls and continues to tickle, tease titilate and torture, until ladies behind me start complaining that their faces hurt from laughing. He's obviously very experienced and charismatic, and can hold and work an audience with the skill of a craftsman. Quick witted and constantly moving both physically and comedically. His audience interaction is superb, and he looked to be enjoying it as much as we all were.When you see comedy gold performers like Martin in a small comedy club it draws attention to the diluted humour that some television companies insist on broadcasting. If you like your comedy like your sex, safe with gentle ribbing, then a bareback ride with the visciously charming Martin will no doubt leave you dazed and saddlesore. Its my first experience of Martin,and I hope the first of many. I'd go out of my way to see him again, he'd be worth the entrance fee on his own. If he's playing anywhere near you, then you're quite frankly a lucky bugger.

Martin Davis' headline act at last night's Porthole Comedy Club in Kilburn, in front of a small, benign crowd, provided a hilarious finale to a largely underwhelming night of comedy in North London. Martin seamlessly incorporated lengthy periods of audience interaction with his material, charming and entertaining in equal measures, with his Artful Dodger-esque, Cockney Gentleman manner. Davis, much to the audience's delight, made sure that he had the final word, twice returning to the stage during the compere's round-up, continuing to entertain the crowd well after his already lengthy routine had ended.Davis may not win over every audience, but when he's on a roll, as he certainly was last night, his charismatic, sharp-minded banter is as good as it comes.

Just saw Martin last night at the Porthole Comedy Club in Kilburn and he was a hoot. I took my life in my hands by sitting in the front row on my own but he went easy on me! Haven't laughed so much in ages - he was the headline act and was superb - what a great way to finish the evening. I'll be checking out his future gigs.

Martin was the final act at Amused Moose and too be honest he somewhat ruined the evening. The previous three acts (Ben Norris, Andrew Bird and Joe Lycett) had all been good, and then this prat came on. He just wasn't funny unless you like the kind of comedy that I thought had died out with Bernard Manning - all he seemed able to do was stream abuse and shout expletives. I'm not prudish in the slightest and have nothing against the use of "rich" language to make a point or for comedic effect, but this guy wasn't funny. He attempted to have banter with the audience but to be frank he was a little short on wit and couldn't come out with anything intelligent; all he could muster were childish name-calling, bigoted stereotyping and inappropriate letching over girls in the audience - who were obviously quite offended even though they tried to stay with it. I wouldn't recommend this guy at all, very poor and shouldn't be encouraged to do this for a living. I don't know why he was the final act, it would have been better if he'd been first then at least we'd have got over him by the end instead of finishing on such a low!

Caught Martin at the Catalina Theatre in Durban. Really enjoyed his style. He looks like he makes up his set as he goes. A large part of his act is interaction and he is one of the best I've seen doing this. Had me in stitches was really glad I wasn't picked on otherwise I might actually have wet myself.

I watched Martin last night at the Catalina theatre in Durban, South Africa. I absolutely enjoyed every moment with him. He involved the audience and had us all in fits of laughter. At one stage I prayed he'd move on and start bantering with someone else as my stomach muscles were in agony. I have not laughed so hard and long for ages. He cuts close to the bone on controversial issues and has no pretense of been political or socially correct. Loved it all :)

Martin was the headline act at the Barnstormers Comedy Night, Leighton Buzzard last night. This guy is just tooo funny. Having been a regular attendee of this regular comedey venue, I have never seen anyone get the audience involved as he did ... effortlessly breaking down any chance of a barrier between himself and the audience with his manic, quick witted, and 'take-no prisoners' style. Martin also clearly enjoyed himself, giving us an extended set because he and the audience clearly got off on one another (yuuuggghhhhh). Yes, I'm looking forward to seeing this guy again. Highly recommended. Thanks Martin
