Ohioan Wrestles With Speaker Over Deficit Deal

As House Speaker John Boehner struggles to line up colleagues behind his debt-ceiling plan, his leading Republican opponent is Rep. Jim Jordan, from the district next door in western Ohio.

The hard-charging, 47-year-old former college wrestling champion has emerged as perhaps the biggest thorn in Mr. Boehner's side as he tries to steer a resolution to the debt-ceiling crisis through a balky House.
