Astronautics C.A is celebrating its 40th anniversary, with a wide range of battlefield-proven products and satisfied customers around the globe. Among our satisfied customers you will find Lockheed-Martin, Boeing, EADS, Bell Helicopters, Aermacchi, Pilatus, Singapore Aerospace, and others.

Military computers and displays, mission systems and modern IT systems

Astronautics currently offers state-of-the-art military computers and displays, mission systems and modern IT solutions, specially tailored to operate in military and airborne environments. We currently offer modular tactical mission systems, airborne computers, military / airborne KVM (keyboard / video multiplexer) and advanced data-link solutions that are based on our recently announced 4G software defined radio (SDR).

Astronautics' tactical flight bag (TFB) is in operational use onboard tactical aircraft, offering modern information, video and paperless cockpit application availability.

Tactical mission systems for helicopters and aircraft

Astronautics' TACTIX is a C4I tactical mission system. TACITX is a flexible and modular system for helicopters and tactical aircraft. Astronautics' TACTIX provides an onboard LAN, with dedicated displays to each crew member, displaying coordinated tactical information over a 2D/3D digital map.

Astronautics' tactical system provides a full situational awareness view (flight plan, no fly zones, threats, etc.) supporting mission management, C4I (dynamic messages and images transfer to/from ground command centres and other airborne platforms participating in a mission), etc. TACTIX presents terrain-related warning (LOS and computed ground proximity alerts). Onboard mission planning supports mission plan and editing as required.

TACTIX system supports a high level of redundancy via robust architecture that provides multiple displays to the crew member and intelligent switching supporting a high level of redundancy built into the architecture. TACTIX data-link supports modern and robust wide band communication, allowing transfer of video streams and still images between the network members – either airborne or on the ground command centre.

Military-grade computers

Astronautics' military and airborne graphic enhanced integrated computer (MAGIC) is a generic military-grade computer with strong computing power (up to quad core i7), graphics acceleration and full airborne I/O interfaces (MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429, 1GB ethernet, audio, analog, discretes and more).

MAGIC is fully qualified for operation onboard helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. Along with video inputs (analog and digital), DVI video outputs and embedded mass-storage, the MAGIC computer provides the latest computing technologies to the military market. The computer supports Windows and VxWorks OS, as well as multiple operating systems running on multiple cores using efficient and transparent hypervisor technology.

Air data computers

Astronautics' air data computer (ADC) offers high-accuracy, high-reliability and long-term stability air data measurement and processing. Astronautics' air data computers are compact and fully certified for civil aviation.

Astronautics' ADC supports RVSM requirements, and fits fixed and rotary wind vehicles. Astronautics' ADC fully supports accurate measurements in low speed, vital for helicopters and UAVs. Astronautics' ADC product range covers the entire range of airborne vehicles – from UAVs to fighters.

3in electronic warfare displays

Astronautics' 3ATI electronic warfare display is a modern, colour LCD-based radar warning receiver (RWR) display, with internal graphics generator and digital interface (RS-422/232) to the RWR processor. The display includes a NVG compatible, patented, LED backlight. It is also available in legacy format – with STROKE inputs, replacing aging CRT-based RWR displays.

Tactical flight bags

Astronautics' tactical flight bag (TFB) is the military version of the electronic flight bag (EFB) product line. The TFB fully meets military environmental requirements, as well as supporting night vision goggles (NVG) compatibility. The TFB consists of an electronic unit (processor) and a 10.4in NVG compatible display unit. TFBs also support military interfaces – MIL-STD-1553, analog, discrete etc. - in addition to the Ethernet, RS-232/422 and USB support.

Airborne / military KVM switches

Astronautics' T-Flex is a full military keyboard / video multiplexer (KVM). T-Flex is a general-purpose, software-controlled switch, supporting up to 8x8 multiplexing for both video and data. DVI video and USB/RS-422 data channel switching is supported.

Airborne displays and MFCD

Astronautics provides 10in, 12in, 15in airborne displays with or without touch-screen. DVI digital video and analog video are supported. USB port to external airborne computer is available on the 10in-15in displays. All displays have a small footprint (1in depth for the 10in-12in displays and less than 2in depth for the 15in display).

Airborne / military software defined radio (SDR)

Astronautics' T-Connect is a state-of-the-art datalink, based on LTE communication technology. T-Connect SDR supports wide band communication (up to 40MB/sec), ad-hoc mash network without the requirement to any base station, immunity to jammers and full operation in non-line of sight (NLOS) scenarios. It supports MPMP (multi-point to multi-point) communication and significant ranges at low power outputs.

Aircraft data concentrator units

Astronautics' data concentrator unit (DCU) provides aircraft sensors data digitisation. Astronautics' DCU converts engine, hydraulics, fuel and other sensors' data into a digital formal available to the avionics and other aircraft systems. It provides full dual redundant interface support, internal processing (limits check, scaling and data formatting), out of limits alerts generation and more. Astronautics' DCU is fully certified for civil aviation (DO-178B, Level A and DO-254).
