Omni-directional, helical and yagi antennas

TACO products include the patented TACO Omni-Directional VHF/UHF Muldipol Antennas, Helical Antennas & Yagi Antennas. TACO was founded over 75 years ago. TACO has provided products for Military Communications applications since World War II. We are actively involved in ground-air-ground communications and tactical communications.

VHF/UHF omni-directional options

The TACO MULDIPOL omni-directional compact antennas are available in single or multiple element configurations. Our broadband antennas are built to military standards to withstand the harsh elements. These omni-directional arrays range from 2 element to 6 element configurations with a minimum 30dB isolation between elements. The low profile silhouette of this antenna plus the resulting decrease in the number of antennas required at any tower site also gives much improved radiation pattern coverage. Customized solutions are also available.

Sectional and folding antennas

TACO has also engineered sectional and folding MULDIPOL Antennas for ease of installation and transportation. Most MULDIPOL models are available in either form.

Obstruction lights and lightning rods are also available on most models but not with the sectional or folding option.

Shipboard omni-directional antennas

TACO also manufactures two omni-directional antennas designed for shipboard applications. Both models have six element configurations with six outputs. This antenna reduces the mounting area while still maintaining a minimum 20 dB isolation.

UHF SATCOM helical antennas

TACO antenna helical (SATCOM) antenna models operate in VHF/UHF frequency ranges between 108-520 MHz. TACO antenna has reduced the wind loading and weight of the helical antennas. Our high gain circularly polarized helical antennas include a mesh ground plane for reduced wind loading.

TACO’s sectional helical antenna option is derived from the standard helical line of applications demanding a high degree of transportability and may be used singly or in multiple arrays. The antennas consist of a hinged, folding ground plane and multiple helix elements which can be assembled quickly.

Coax stub low profile antenna

TACO antenna offers vertically polarized broadband VHF/UHF coax stub antennas. These coaxial stub antennas are designed to withstand the most severe weather conditions for both land and shipboard applications.

YAGI antennas for point-to-point applications

TACO offers a complete range of five and ten element, ruggedized YAGI antennas for point-to-point applications 50-500 MHz. TACO also offers high frequency antennas for 802.11 wireless applications for both 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz frequency bands.
