FRANKFURT—Pessimism among German consumers is growing due to discussions over the Greek debt crisis and possible risks to the euro, German market research group GfK said Tuesday.

"It appears that the events surrounding the [Greek] debt crisis are overshadowing the positive general conditions in Germany at present," GfK said.
