So, it looks like there is going to be a bit of insight into Beast Boy's acting career in the comics. Sounds like fun!

Heh, looks like a fun issue, but I am worried about what will happen with the See-More and Starfire thing again... Well, they got away with a lot in "Naked City", so, meh.

Looks like it's gonna be a really cool issue. Can't wait to pick it up, as always. Is that his tongue hanging out or is it a plant?
Focused Shadow: What's with the Sey-Mour and Starfire thing? I'm just kinda outta the loop.

Focused Shadow is just noting that in Mother Mae Eye See-more claimed to have x-ray vision when fighting Starfire--who then went all embarrassed and tried to cover up (even though she was wearing the oversized sweater at the time).
If they tangle in the comics, one wonders if she would do the same given her actions in "The Naked City"--my guess is that she'd be more outraged than embarrassed.
Or perhaps she'll be prepared this time and be sporting the latest in lead-lined attire, so it won't be an issue?

I wonder which HIVE Five it will be?
Jinx, Gizmo, mammoth, Seemore, and Private HIVE, or:
Jinx, Gizmo, mammoth, Seemore, Billy Numerous, and Kid Wyykyd?
I hope It's the second team. they were awesome in "lightspeed"

If it was the second team, I really don't think Jinx will be in it. I hope it's the first.

Yey, finnally some insight into BB's acting career. If this show/movie he does is some form of Star Trek parody, icing on the cake.
Also, I bet it will be the second team. I'm kind of interested where Private HIVE kind of vanished too (I thought we might have seen him on that bike in Revved Up) but, meh, Kyd is so much cooler.

Well, in the "Lightspeed" talkback thread, Jones told me that the reason they got rid of Private HIVE was because they wanted to do what they couldn't do with the Titans, which was change up their line up. So that means that the HIVE FIVE will have a different roster every appearance on the show. I wonder if this is the same for the comics...
And I hope we get some insight on what the "FIVE" stands for. I believe it stands for Five Is Very Evil, but that's just me...

Just picked up my copy today.
I was a bit disappointed that Beast Boy's acting career from the original comics was not referenced. Yes, I know cartoon =/= comics but it would have been neat.
Over all it was enjoyable. I loved Raven's "He's the biggest drama queen I know." line though I sort of felt bad when Beast Boy stormed off, thanking the Titans for their 'support'. Poor lil' dude.
Some of the high points were the stage crew adhering to Beast Boy's whims, Cy taking his call during battle, Private Hive's return and Jinx's jealously of Cyborg. "Cute actresses?" And that Explodey II movie poster. That sounds like a fun movie.
They must have made some major changes to that rewrite of the script for Beast Boy not to know he was not the star. Well there's always the pet store commerials. Admittingly a tad disappointing but another good one!

Aww, poor Beast Boy. Couldn't help but feel sorry for him in this issue. But hey, maybe he will make it in pet shop commercials after all.
Good moments:
The 'Explodey II" movie poster in the background. It was a nice touch. xD
I liked Beast Boy flying into the 'Tinsel Town' sign as well. It was cute how all his friends came rushing over to him. ^^
I also loved when the director was all flipping out and yelling "Code red!!" That rocked. <3
...And lastly, I noticed a spelling mistake on the page where Beast Boy met back up with the Titans. Cyborg says "teel" instead of "tell". Just felt like mentioning that. o.o

Anyone else catch the "Craig Snipes"/Greg Cipes name similarity?
This whole issue was really fun. I honestly just thumbed through it on the go because I've been busy, but I'll give it a thorough read soon. Seeing the HIVE Five was great, I want to see more of the team's variations in later issues, especially with Jinx technically off the roster now.

Thanks for picking up the issue, guys! Glad you enjoyed it despite the "teel" typo
As for the Hive 5 line-up, this script was written before I found out about the new line-up hence it's the way it is in this issue. But stay tuned for the new H5 to make an appearance in an upcoming issue, plus some... interesting developments with Private Hive. Aren't you curious where he went? I know I am!
Lastly, I really, really, really wanted to have a Greg Cipes cameo in there and I even talked to Greg about it, but there was just too much legal redtape and such to make it happen. So, we went with a parody if you will. I haven't talked to Greg about the issue yet, but I hope he liked it...
Happy New Year, everyone! We've got a lot of cool stuff coming in TTG in 2006! Please keep reading!

Got this issue yesterday and I loved it. Felt kinda bad for BB because no one really believed in him at first and that they changed his colour.
Like the Greg Cipes cameo. Is that how he really speaks?

Well, I finally got around to getting this one. Really enjoyed it. Loved the Greg Cipes parody! Great work JT, as always.

Goofy but well done. I liked it No offense to BB and the makers of "Jungle Boy" but jungle flicks went out with the 50's. Did they really expect anything but straight to DVD?
