Supplementary Planning Documents (SPD)
Supplementary Planning Documents provide guidance to support Development Plan and Local Development Framework policies and are to be used in assessing planning applications.

In line with the Local Development Scheme the Authority aims to bring forward a Supplementary Planning Document to add detail to the new suite of Climate Change policies in the Core Strategy.  This will replace existing guidance on renewable energy and broaden the scope to sustainable building techniques and the need to adapt to and mitigate the impacts of climate change.

We aim to deliver this document by June 2011. In addition to this we will bring forward further technical design guidance to support the Peak District Design Guide SPD.

After completion of the Core Strategy in 2011, we will then update remaining Supplementary Planning Guidance, covering the Local Need for Affordable Housing and the siting and design of Agricultural Developments.
