Last night at the Simple Plan show

6:13 PM, June 22, 2011 ι Maxine Shen

Couldn't get a ticket to the Simple Plan record release show last night at Gramercy Theater? Here's some of what you missed...the pop-punks doing a medley of Cee-Lo Green's "F--k You," Taio Cruz's "Dynamite" and P!nk's "Raise Your Glass."

And, as an added bonus, the boys from Montreal brought in singer Marie-Mai to do vocals during their performance of "Jet Lag," the second single off their new album, "Get Your Heart On." (She was featured in the French version of the song. Watch it here. She's very good.)

Simple Plan will be back in this area for Vans Warped Tour next month. Check it.

In other news, if you ever go to a concert where they don't let you bring in cameras, get your hands on an iPhone 4. Of the various digital cameras/cell phones I've tested out at concerts, this one has produced the best video and sound quality. (It would've been even better if the lights were a little less bright and I'd been closer to the stage, but there comes a time when one is just too old to be crushed at the barricade.)
