Today's poll

POLL: Casey Anthony verdict

Casey Anthony was found not guilty of first-degree murder in the killing of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee Marie, according to a 12-member jury that deliberated for about 11 hours over two days.

What do you think of the jury's decision?

  • Are you kidding me? Was this the same jury that decided O.J. Simpson was innocent too?
  • I didn't agree with a first-degree murder charge, but I thought she would be found guilty of a lesser charge in her daughter's death.
  • I didn't think she was a very likeable defendant, but the prosecution failed to prove its case.
  • I didn't feel one way or the other, but the defense created enough reasonable doubt that I can understand the verdict.
  • I thought she was innocent of the charges from the start and I'm glad she has been vindicated.

POLL: Is America still the greatest nation on Earth?

As we head into the Fourth of July weekend, we ask your opinion on the state of the nation. Is America still the greatest nation on Earth? Was it ever? There is much discussion today about what it means to be an American, and what it means to be patriotic. What do you think?

  • We're still the best. Check with any other nation and compare their freedoms and their economies to ours. Whatever our problems, we're still the best.
  • Not the best anymore. We used to be, but the liberals have ruined it with entitlements and political correctness.
  • Not the best anymore. We used to be, but the conservatives have ruined it by making this a country run by the wealthy, with no regard for ordinary citizens.
  • We were never the best to begin with. All of that chest-thumping and bragging means nothing. We've always had our problems.
  • I love my country and I wouldn't live anywhere else. That's all that matters to me.
  • It doesn't matter. The question isn't whether we are the best nation on Earth. It's whether we are the best nation we can be. And that's always a work in progress.
