Party with an Osbourne

November 11, 2005 |  8:07 am
Tomorrow night I've been invited to what has been tagged as "The Greatest Lingerie Show on Earth" at Body English, the nightclub in the Hard Rock. You are welcome too, because the invitation comes via an advertisement in which "Kelly Osbourne and Agent Provocateur invite you to celebrate their birthdays" with the aforesaid lingerie show. I do not want to see Kelly Osbourne in lingerie. I do, however, want to see Ozzy in lingerie. I don't know why, I just do.

Strip Poker for Dummy

November 2, 2005 |  7:46 am

The Palms is celebrating its 4th anniversary weekend, which according to the invitation includes a Saturday night “Playmate charity strip poker showdown and dinner party." The party is happening at Rain, the casino's gigantic nightclub that is oh so proud of its fireballs. I like this idea very much since I am probably the only person in Las Vegas who does not know how to play poker and this will make it easy to see who is ahead and, far more importantly, who is behind.

The Wildest Party in Las Vegas

October 28, 2005 |  8:47 am

This weekend I will be attending the first Vegoose music festival about which I'll be blogging on Monday. But Vegoose is hardly the only thing going on over Halloween weekend. Las Vegas, of course, tends to interpret Halloween not as a celebration of fear and horror, but as an all out weekend of fishnets and fangs and sexy little black outfits.

And, if that is what you like to see, the best place to be for viewing is the 10th Fetish and Fantasy Halloween Ball on Saturday night. The Ball has changed locations a lot over the years (and this year it is at the fairly obscure Las Vegas Sport Center). But it is still the most outrageous Halloween party in town. It is also one of the largest with over 3,000 people likely to be there in envelope pushing costumes. Last year my friend, adult film actress Caroline Pierce, went to Fetish and Fantasy and the photos I saw afterwards were unbelievable. Sample: a man in a priest’s vestments with a little boy doll strapped to the crotch.
