Richard Abowitz misspent his youth in graduate school studying metered poetry and going to rock concerts with tickets paid for by student loans. His early writing was for magazines such as Rolling Stone (where for more than a decade he contributed reviews) and the Kenyon Review. He later was an editor at the national arts journal Gadfly, where he produced cover stories on Gore Vidal and Frank Zappa, among others. He moved to Las Vegas in 1999 to take a job at Las Vegas Weekly, where he continues to write. He has rarely left Vegas since. In 2005, Abowitz began writing the Movable Buffet blog and a print column for the L.A. Times. He reveres his cats and Bob Dylan, and dreams of one day being buried under the "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Nevada" sign.

Hi Richard, I am a journalist with The Sydney Morning Herald newspaper in Australia and I was hoping you might have a contact for the mini lady gaga woman you featured on your very amusing blog back in July, Im trying to reach her but not having much luck. Cheers Andrew
