VanaFest/FanFest by: Elmer the Pointy
Once again, it is time to chronicle an epic journey across the Land of the Rising Sun, as we head to Tokyo’s Seinenkan Hall for VanaFest 2010!
Elmer (the Pointy) will be joined by Corinth (the Kitty) and together they will deliver comments, pictures and other fun miscellany as the weekend unfolds. And hopefully, we’ll make it back with a prize or two in tow for loyal readers!

I have tried all three browsers and even made a twitter account to try to log in with, one of my 7 comments got posted >.> what’s up with that?

Yes, I think we succeeded in getting some good Devin shots. Of course, their official Facebook page has plenty more!

One thing I want to point out is, The Abyssea splash page might be showing PLD and BLM in AF3, the DNC, MNK, and possibly the PUP (it’s hard to tell due to angle) are in AF2/relic. (In reply to a comment someone made near the bottom of the liveblog feed.)
This was an amazing event and the coverage from you guys was pretty good considering the inability to post during the event. Thank you.

I post all videos from VanaFest 2010 on youtube and there when they talk about BLU PLD and NIN no subs…twitter says nothing dunno maybe guys just relax lol anyway can you translate for me what they said about O_o

Would it be possible to create subtitles for the video or does anyone know where you can watch this with full subtitles? They talk about a whole lot more than what was in the twitter feed, like blu getting dual wield. If there was even a Japanese transcript available I have someone I could send it to for translation.

For the above commenters, I tried to include everything about the show in these 3 writeups, which include stuff not in the Twitter.
I’m not sure there would be anyone out there willing to sub the entire feed on YouTube D: It’s just so long

A lot of times we were on the go, so if I got the chance to open the CiV app, I could only approve a few at a time and manage to talk and pay attention to what I was doing. Twitter was much faster for throwing up pics.
When in the hotel room and at the console, there were still many many people commenting. If I or Pikko were there we tried to post as much as we could.
During the 4 days of TGS we only posted 300 or so comments, but this time we broke 1,000 posted comments before the event even started. So, we tried.
That said, there was a “FFXI_Etrigan” that just said “PS2 Limitations” over and over, so that could have had a factor in some comments getting rejected >_>
