A man sought in connection with a rape was found and arrested on Tuesday night at a Danbury motel, police said.

Okkeme L. Gray was charged with first-degree sexual assault, strangulation and risk of injury to a minor, police said. Both South Windsor police and state police from Troop A in Southbury took Gray into custody around 8:30 p.m.

Sgt. Christina Ferrante said Gray is accused of raping a woman he knew inside her home in South Windsor in the presence of her two children. Ferrante said the incident happened overnight Monday.

Because of the sensitivity of such cases, Ferrante said she would not elaborate on the incident.

Gray was held with bail set at $750,000 and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on Wednesday.
