Crimson Alliance (XBLA)

Game developers Certain Affinity have released a selection of new screenshots from their upcoming Xbox LIVE Arcade game, Crimson Alliance. See the new Crimson Alliance screens here, or further below. Previously released screenshots from Crimson Alliance can be seen here. Crimson Alliance will appeal to fans of fantasy action-RPGs like Diablo or Torchlight. From what I’ve seen on it so far, the action is solid, environments are gorgeous, and the loot aplenty! Read my impressions from Crimson Alliance at E3 2011 here.

See a trailer from Crimson Alliance here on YouTube. Visit the official website of Crimson Alliance at www.crimsonalliance.com for more details, including how you can get it for free in September 2011!

TEKKEN live action film

Anchor Bay Films and Manga Entertainment will be releasing a live-action TEKKEN film in just a couple of weeks. TEKKEN will be available on Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital and DVD on July 19, 2011. The TEKKEN movie runs a total of 91 minutes.

About the TEKKEN film, from Anchor Bay Films:
“The year is 2039. World wars have destroyed everything and territories are run by corporations, the mightiest – and cruelest — of which is Tekken. Jin Kazama (John Foo) witnesses the death of his mother Jun (Tomita) by Tekken in the slums known as Anvil. Vowing vengeance, and armed only with his street smarts and raw fighting skills, he enters a dangerous and potentially deadly combat tournament, where he must defeat the world’s most elite fighters to become the ‘King of the Iron Fist.’”

Later this summer, a CG film titled TEKKEN Blood Vengeance will be released by Namco Bandai Games.

Dungeon Siege III

Dungeon Siege IIIDungeon Siege III
Available for: Xbox 360, PS3, PC
(Reviewed on Xbox 360)
Game Developer: Obsidian Entertainment
Game Publisher: Square Enix
Official website: www.dungeonsiege.com

4 out of 5 stars
Rating:
4 out of 5

Review Summary:
Coming from experienced RPG storytellers Obsidian Entertainment and Square Enix, Dungeon Siege III offers a tailored fantasy action game crafted by the player’s own decisions. Although the gameplay itself is linear, it is in the player’s choices that the tale of Dungeon Siege III is uniquely woven. On the surface, the game sells itself as a glossy action-RPG maybe akin to others in the genre. But dedicated players will find they will reap the most fruitful experience in Dungeon Siege III beyond the loot hoarding. It is in the last few chapters of the game where things get really interesting. You know when a game makes you hesitate on making a decision, the weight of the outcome can be pretty significant. Console gamers hesitant to embark on this third part of the game series should not let that be a reason for denying it. In the end, Dungeon Siege III is an enjoyable fantasy adventure worth taking on.
