"Gamer regret" one of the biggest obstacles to industry growth -

Don't be put off by the title of this fascinating news story fresh out of the DICE conference in Las Vegas. Game designer Jane McGonigal has recently been talking up the games industry in a big way, picking on the fact that our hobby is more likely to be associated with deviant behaviour than any practice which is beneficial to wider society. She blames that fact on a phenomenon she dubs 'gamer regret', the view that any time spent playing games is actually a waste of time. One could argue that all entertainment is this way, but she cites scientific studies which prove that playing games can make individuals more likely to help other people, play a real instrument, enable a more confident outlook in life and help people cope with traumatic experiences they've had in the past. An eye-opener to say the least, but you will have to register on the host site to look at this article.

Team Fortress 2 is better on Xbox 360 -

His arguments are put across in an entertaining and impassioned fashion proving that just because an article has an inflammatory title, it doesn't mean it's written just to grab hits.

What happens when a 4 year old plays Gran Turismo 5 -

As anyone who has a young son, daughter or nephew knows, getting any under-5 to play a racing game properly is impossible. Unless you have a steering wheel and a youngster with seemingly oodles of racing potential. Needless to say this video is surprising and absolutely adorable. Yes, there is some foul play with the pedals and some AI help, nevertheless this little kid deserves real kudos for taming the Red Bull's X1 Prototype.
