Virginia won its fifth lacrosse title on Sunday as Colin Briggs scored five goals. The Cavaliers players and coaches reflect on why this championship was so special.

Virginia edged Maryland and won its fifth national championship on Monday. The seventh-seeded Cavaliers are the lowest seed to ever win the NCAA title. The Terps have not won a title since 1975.

Colin Briggs scored a career-high five goals and Matt White added three more as Virginia defeated ACC-rival Maryland to win the 2011 DI Men’s Lacrosse Championship and claim their fifth title.
