Minnesota-Duluth captured the program's first title on Saturday just a couple of hours away from home.  With three players as Duluth natives and 14 others from Minnesota, the victory couldn't be more sweet.

Kyle Schmidt scored 3:22 into overtime to give Minnesota-Duluth a 3-2 victory against Michigan in the Division I men's hockey championship game, the first national title for the Bulldogs.

Kyle Schmidt may have been named the recipient of the Unsung Hero Award, but he definitely did not go unnoticed on Saturday. Schmidt scored at 3:22 of overtime to notch the title for the Bulldogs.
