To search farther back go to our Archives page. There is no cost to use the archive search, but there is a fee to download articles.

How long do articles remain available on your site?
Most stories are available for free access for 90 days, though some material is not accessible for as long and a some special projects are available indefinitely. Use the site search engine to find what content is available. The Times does not accept requests to republish articles once they no longer appear in the free access area.
