Daniel, a 6’1” striker, has already seen plenty of first-team action at Manchester United, making his first Premier League appearance as a substitute against Stoke City in November 2008 when he was still only 17.
He even scored United’s fifth goal in a 5-0 win at Old Trafford, curling a 30-yarder into the top right corner. He went on to start games in The FA Cup and the Champions League, showing great skill and composure for a player of such tender years.
He was an U16 international at 14, coming on as a substitute against Wales in the Victory Shield, and then picked up 11 caps for the U17s in 2006-07.
For the Under-21s he substituted for Adam Johnson to make his debut at that level in the friendly against Ecuador in Malaga on 10 February 2009.
He spent the 2010-11 season on loan at Sunderland from Old Trafford.
