Henderson

Jordan Henderson

Jordan joined his hometown club, Sunderland, at the age of eight and worked his way through the academy system.

Having made his First Team debut in November 2008, he was loaned out to Coventry City in the same season, before coming back to the Stadium of Light and asserting himself as a regular starter in Steve Bruce’s midfield during 09-10.

Having made solitary appearances for England’s U19s and U20s, Jordan picked up his first Under-21 appearance in the friendly against Uzbekistan in 2010.

He signed a new five-year deal with the Black Cats in April 2010.
