E3 2011 is creeping up fast. The video game industry's biggest event takes place in LA June 6-8, but in the meantime we're highlighting the biggest titles of the show. Today we've got Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, one of the most anticipated games of the show.

What We Know

We've seen Uncharted 3 a few times now, so we've got a lot of info already. Naughty Dog isn't content with just making another Uncharted game, they're pulling out all the stops for Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception.

The game's plot revolves around the Atlantis of the Sands - a mythical trade post in Arabia that's supposedly filled with riches but has been swallowed up by the desert. Nathan Drake and Victor Sullivan are searching for it, but so is the villainous Katherine Marlowe, leader of a 400-year-old cabal.

Like the previous games, Uncharted 3 goes all over the globe, and the section we've gotten to play is set in a burning chateau in France, which, if you haven't seen, looks freaking incredible.

We've also seen some of the new multiplayer mode, which is getting an overhaul in Uncharted 3. The multiplayer features a new three team deathmatch mode, split-screen co-op, a revamped upgrade system and character customization.

What We Expect at E3 2011

Sony has confirmed that they are demoing single player and multiplayer, as well as revealing new story elements, so expect a big batch of Uncharted 3 updates.

For single player, we have yet to see any desert gameplay footage. Naughty Dog has said that less than half the game is in the desert, but we expect they'll show some of it off (we're thinking some vehicle sections here). But because Uncharted 3 is also a platformer, we expect most of the demo to be some sort of temple or building that we can climb on.

On the multiplayer front we expect that it will be a lot of what we've seen already, though with some new maps. However, Naughty Dog has said that Uncharted 3 features co-op missions, so it's possible we could see some of that play out. Getting to play as Nathan and Sully in real missions sounds awesome.

And for story, we really only have one question: who's this dude?

Ok, we also want to know where Drake's lady friends are, and we fully expect an answer on that as well. Though Sony probably won't confirm our crackpot theories about the game's plot.
