In about a month, WWE All Stars will be out and players like you will be leaping from the top rope and hurling Superstars through the air. This is the arcade-style WWE game that packs over the top moves and action figure-style Superstars.

Funny thing about all that though -- you don't know who is in the game. Sure, you know some of the wrestlers who will step on the grandest stage of them all, but you don't know each and every one of them. Let's change that.

Today, IGN is bringing you half of the WWE All Stars roster. Next week -- Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011 -- we'll bring you the next half. Our reveal includes names, screens, info from WWE.com and videos of each and every WWE All Star Finisher, and it's going to be pretty sweet. If you need -- nay, demand more -- check out THQ's official WWE All Stars site that will be showcasing each Superstar's entrance.

Sound good? Well, let's step through the ropes.

THE LEGENDS

Andre the Giant was the largest athlete the world had ever seen, and was sports-entertainment's most famous attraction throughout the 1970s and much of the 1980s. Standing 7 feet 4 inches tall and weighing between 475 and 540 pounds over the course of his career, he truly earned his nickname of "The Eighth Wonder of the World."

Known as the "Excellence of Execution," Bret Hart was one of the finest technical wrestlers ever. This submission specialist was known for systematically breaking down his opponents until he was ready to lock in the Sharpshooter, from which few escaped.

The legacy of the WWE is marked with Superstars we lost too soon, but Eddie Guerrero is near the top of that list. Eddie could cut a promo, make you laugh, and a put on an in-ring show few could match. Now, the former world champion is at it again and you can take him to glory.

Hulk Hogan is arguably the most famous WWE Superstar of all time. World Wrestling Entertainment was never the same after Hogan replaced an injured Bob Backlund and defeated The Iron Sheik for the WWE Championship on January 23, 1984, at Madison Square Garden. A phenomenon was born.

One of the most unique and memorable competitors in WWE history, Jake "The Snake" Roberts was psychologically brilliant, verbally captivating and offensively devastating. Infamous for his eerie habit of carrying monstrous snakes to the ring, the former Superstar innovated the devastating DDT and introduced a cerebral approach to the squared circle that had never been seen before.

There has never been a Superstar more colorful than "Macho Man" Randy Savage. His style - perfectly punctuated by his entrance music, "Pomp and Circumstance" - has only been outshined by his performance in the ring, which helped him to capture two WWE Championships, two World Heavyweight Championships, and a 14-month reign as Intercontinental Champion.

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper is one of the most colorful personalities ever to hit World Wrestling Entertainment. The Hot Rod, as he came to be known, began his WWE career as one of the most-hated villains WWE fans have ever seen. Although Piper got his start in the NWA in the late 1970s, Piper rose to new heights when he battled with Hollywood Hogan in the 1980s. Piper became Hogan's main rival, and the two engaged in some of the most-entertaining interview segments WWE has ever seen.

With one of the most instantly recognizable monikers of any grappler in history, Sgt. Slaughter is truly one of a kind. A former U.S. Marine, he earned his famous ring name during the service. Once he began his professional career, he would certainly solidify that name, intimidating adversaries and fans alike in his trademark drill sergeant attire.
