    GTA = Attempt to simulate Real Life mechanics. Mostly realistic. Plausible scenarios.

    Saint's Row = John Woo Movie. Exaggerated physics. Implausible scenarios.

    SR is a caricature of real life. It is supposed to be over the top and has definitely carved it's own market and sub-genre. The two games imo are no longer the same; not since SR1.

    @poseidion I completely disagree. I havent had fun in a GTA game since San Andreas, and, as you say saints row took that direction and ran with it. I play saints row, but its not because im waiting for GTA, its because its more fun.

    This game it's like they want to be so extremely funny it turns out to be more of the things seemed in other games yeeeaaars ago. It doesn't matters if it has different stuff. It's an open world game with side missions and real-life mocking, which GTA did first. A purple di!do and gang wars?? GTA: SA did it first. Do you need more proof?? Fake cars, a citiy's imitation, clothes stores, houses with garages, haircuts and tattoos, what else?? Plus sum to that, many SR players are just killing time while another GTA comes out, that's all. Now come and bury my comment while it eats you on the inside.

    I am loving the melee that you can do to people, i hope the fighting styles just keep getting better. *slams person's head into ground and poses*
    4get about day one buy.... its a day 1 pick up after a pre-order! hopefully the gamestop up the street from me gets enough pre-orders to do a midnight release

    I'm a Grand Theft Auto fan and I have say I'm pretty impressed with what looks to be pretty solid gameplay and fun-factor that is present here. I'm definitely going to watch this one. Oh, and @psychedelica000 you do realize that the actions, weapons used, and how you play the game is pretty much up to you right? also: if you find a particular weapon offensive DON'T USE IT!

    @psychedelica000 well... I prefer to beat up people with a giant di**o in a game than in real world... And yes I can imagine people I love/who are well educated etc. hitting people with a giant di**o IN A GAME. It's just... well... IT IS THE GAME!

    Dare I say it looks it too ridiculous...which is hard to say given what's in Saints Row 2 but it still looks fun. Fun is what Saint's Row is all about. They're not trying to match the heaviness of GTA, it's not about gritty realism, just pure, ridiculous fun.

    i hope this game has most of the side quest abilities like unlimited sprint/ammo because i just unlocked no falling damage and ive been jumping off buildings and out of helicopters

    Anyways, just image someone you admire and respect, someone who's well read, well presented. Imagine him/her hitting pedestrians with a d!ldo, and really really enjoy doing it. That's a odd picture isn't it. Would your parents love to do it? Would your educators love to do it? Maybe just you then. @sliverX360
    I have no hate, and this game was definitely not made for ppl like me to judge upon it. they invested money to make money, I just wished they could use that money to make something more meaningful, that's all.

    @psychedelica000 : Hard to believe you're an educated adult, you sound more like a happy overprotected child, I'm educated but I find it quite fun..... @Timewarlord : I don't know, I think it's made that way to show off some sort of bling or high roller style the Saints have advanced to...
    @hobomonkey : Check it out later when the game hit the shelves..
    @metalkid9 : I agree, and in this monitor their videos are sometimes lagged or cannot be read fully....
    IMO, can't wait to play this + Skyrim + Battlefield 3 + MW3

    This is the most ridiculous and over the top lame and stupid game ever, gaming as electronic entertainment should by pass this kind crap now. If your mind would get satisfaction and be entertained with this, then oh well.....Just to think what kinda crowd this game is marketing to.

    As an educated adult, I respectfully disagree that hitting pedestrian with a d!ldo is in anyway fun, entertaining or "cool". You might think otherwise.

    Looks like they've taken out the food and moved the grenades to the d-pad. Guess they decided most people just wait for auto-heal.

    The city itself looks far more realistic and the textures seem far more detailed then saints row 2.

    I loved GTA 4 but this just throws it out of the window . . . and it isn't even out yet.

    now it may look like GTA might finally have competition... im definitly getting this game... rockstar i hope GTA5 is coming soon cause saints row lookin mighty good right now... but im still getting GTA5... whenever that happens

    My favorite series, a lot of people wrote SR as a GTA clone. But it has always been much more.

    somehow...this was so refreshing i never played saints row, neither watched any gameplay videos anywhere, but this looks such a stress buster...

    as much as I am CRAVING this game right now. it's actually lucky for me that it's not being released until later in the year. I can see myself cancelling my summer holidays to play this otherwise.
