    It's very different from what we've been playing so far, I'm not so sure about it, there are so many spin-offs, I'll try it though, I'm sure sooner or later "Resident Evil 6" will make an appearance and that should make up for whatever went wrong with previous games, I'm very patient!... ^_^

    I am very interested to see where this leads. I am not overly excited about the new gameplay style, but it has potential. As far as this game not being Resident Evil as we know it, was 4 or 5 Resident Evil as we knew it? I would be as excited as anybody to see a new RE in the traditional style.

    I refuse to bash a game where you get to shoot zombies. The only thing better than shooting zombies is dinosaurs....or perhaps zombie dinosaurs...oh my god, yes. Totally fits into the RE4 buried prehistoric parasite bit. That should be the next RE.

    whew, too much actions but less horrors to me. still a good game though . . .

    hopefully game still give a lot of puzzles, not just walking around to find zombies

    Just make a survival horror like the first one but with killing graphics and extra hard difficulty, the world of game have enought action games like that on the video, thats boring.

    You're slicing zombies left and right with blades, you're blowing up zombie heads by stepping on them, you're doing that with 3 more players, I think the sense of "Creepy unease" has been lost long ago since RE4. It's very hard to be scared when the player is the one that's overpowered.

    haha rman there is no way you thoroughly played the older resident evil. You would not last long at all trying to run around them. As for the low res, maybe try the gamecube remake. There is very little that is truly scary about resident evil 4. Anyone that actually played the older games would know that.

    oh god, a cover system... this is gonna be bad. I hope they get Shinji back to revamp older, fixed cam type RE for RE 6. Fixed cam is necessary for the creepy, cinematic environments. It also allows them add a lot more detail into each room, making the environment very rich and lifelike.

    Resident Evil (biohazard in japan) since RE4 they are just action games not survival horror...they are not bad games they are just not real Resident evils they should rename it, is sad they keep using the title RE in this kind of games

    Resident Evil is the European name I think in japan and the USA its called Biohazard, simple as that :]

    It really pisses me off that they changed the name to Resident Evil. Why can't they just keep it as Biohazard it makes more sense then Resident Evil

    I like the look of it. Dont understand the people slating it before they've played it.
    What I like about it, it's going back to the original "STORY" which 1,2&3 followed. I wasnt a fan of 4&5, I didnt like that it had detracted from the whole umbrella creating zombies/bio weaponry and went the route of crazy wierdos having discovered some deep hidden bio creature weapons, to me that just wasn't "Resident Evil"
    I also like the idea of playing as umbrella in raccoon city, I think with this it can revisit and elaborate on the story/back story of 1,2&3, who knows, I am just looking forward to this, just hope its not a big disappointment.

    funny i never found resident evil to be scary until the forth game. slow low res zombies moving toward you as you just run around them don't make them that scary. and there nothing compared to lets say monsters in silent hill. while this may never be resident evil 4 ..which to me is the best game out of the entire series. 5 just.. didn't pack the fear.
    ...fast black zombies ... meh.

    sigh.... another ACTION Biohazard.... I don't like it. there are sooooo many action-horror games out there I want survivor horror back, Biohazard 4 is the best and Capcom knows they can't top it.

    as an RE fan im dissapointed in this game although this looks enjoyable and back to RACOON CITY
    but as a gamer i reckon this is going to be a fun, time killing and a good experience with some co-op in it, so yeah im going to get this game
    capcom- please release a demo for this on psn i think alot of re fans will test it out as it is RE and could change their mind and think i really want this game

    I dont get why people are giving this game such a hard time. Do you guys realize there have been more resident evils not like RE 1,2,3 than there has that stay to that "traditional" style of gameplay. Think about all the spin offs none of them play like RE1,2,3 except for Zero, CV and remakes. Think about it, Gunsurvivor1,2, Umbrella Chronicles,Darkside Chronicles RE4,5. The list goes on none of those games play like RE 1,2,3 and they are all awesome! So why will this be any different? So what your using Umbrella as the main characters. Good i want to see some stuff happen from their point of view instead of getting cliff hanger after cliff hanger as to what is going on with those guys. I am excited about this game I just hope it isn't short. Last thing remember how short RE 1,2,3, CV, 0 are the "traditional" ones ill be mad if I pay 60 bucks for a three hour game that holds me in fixed camera angles and runs me on a linear course.

    I don't understand why people are complaining about a new resident evil style game. Has anyone played any of the gun survivors they weren't like RE1 and 2 they were something completely of their own and they were awesome.(like all RE titles are.) yeah RE4 and 5 aren't as good as 1,2 ,3 thats because those games were the first of their kind nothing is going to compare to their originality, but the series has to expand in some way shape or form think about how mad you would be if u payed 60 bucks to play a RE title that took you two hours to beat b/c that is how the originals played.

    I don't get it. Isn't Umbrella the enemy? I would feel kinda bad having to kill the guys that are just trying to survive. Maybe Im getting it wrong or something :-/

    I do not see myself feeling a sense of fear or urgency when playing this game. As seen in this bit of game play, you can just melee the crap out of zombies. In earlier Resident Evil games, zombies represented more of an obstacle to overcome to get to your next goal, not something to dice up with flashy knife attacks. Also, I really liked the atmosphere of earlier games because you never felt completely safe and even a little jumpy at the slightest noise. You had no idea what awaited you at the end of a narrow hallway or a seemingly empty room. When a game invokes such dissonance while playing, well that is one hell of game. Now if Resident Evil 2 had it's same atmosphere, stellar sound design, and new updated graphics, that would be one hell of a game.

    it's not that bad...i think the developer wants us to have a new experience of RE, a new level like RE5...but sometimes it's not what we want...we need RE back to the business just like old times...hope the game was great!!!!

    As a Resi fan since RE1 on the playstation I think I'll skip this one.

    They should go back to the RE1 & RE2 style of play (with the addition of being able to move and shoot!). The first 2 are the best RE games in the series and RE5 was a big let down.

    RE1 and RE2 had great game play, scary environments, great enemies and real survival-horror feel. Puzzles made you think (but not too much) and the RE2 ability to play the second part of the story with the other character was a stroke of genius!
