    I was worried by the review saying that this game was a departure from the usual look of the franchise - usually this means bad news! However, this video is amazing. I am enthusiastically looking forward to this game now.

    first things first does it have the same thing as HAWKS, safety-limiter remover, and if it does not well by the look of this video i guess no thats sucks but i still can not wait DAM TO LONG to wait ahhhhhh

    I have never ever played a game like this in my entire life. I started looking at these types of sims to explore and ..I think I have found the new love of my life.. I got shivers watching this

    you know i just realized that the crap that comes out the screen (smoke and the sparks..and possibly feces and endometrial lining) never sticks to the canopy in 1st person...

    One thing I was disappointed not to hear was the uniquely-Ace Combat panic/anticipation/anger of a city/country under attack, in the radio chatter. Everyone seemed kinda... monotone.

    I wasn't expecting some thrilling display of the storyline from a game performance demo, but I'm hoping for more of an immersive emotion in the real game.

    Some of the naysayers need to read up on the game. This ain't a rail shooter. The only thing the games doing is restricting the player from full control over his plane, so he can't for example, barrel roll. It's a control setting. And theres also an 'advanced' control setting that gives you full control over the plane, a la previous Ace Combat games.

    I'll miss the strange-real world as much as most AC fans... but this game is looking better with each video i watch.

    ha maybe its cause i dont play a lot of ace combat, but this game looks sick as hell to me. however i share others' concerns that it may be a bit too easy

    Anybody know if the Ace Edge flight stick will work with this game? I hope it does because it really made AC6 much more engaging.

    I Loveeee the Ace Combat Series. This time based on earth territories is gonna be awesome. And this game is by far no rail system game. Its free to fly anywhere you want during the missions. I used to fly as fast as possible and try and fly between sky scrapers without hitting them. This is gonna be a blast!

    Looks great technically, very exciting. Looks like a good game to play or watch, but doesn't look like an Ace Combat game. The departure from strangereal was almost a dealbreaker for me, but future videos are going to have to be more than spending 300 rounds on each dumb straight flying AI plane and shuddering camera angles to win me over. I'm not saying make the same old AC from the last decade, but take the best elements from each (flight model of AC6 + tweaks, story writers from 5, character from 5 and 3), add some better multiplayer, and take another $60 from my wallet.

    As it stands, unless this game gives me the same exhilarating feeling of playing at military aviation the older games did, I'll just wait until Namco Bandai gets back to its strangereal roots.

    Oh my god! it looks like the game is doing pretty much all of the complicated stuff for him! I HOPE this is just and option for horrible players/casual players. The dog fight mode looks like the jet auto stays with the enemy and you just adjust the aiming!! PLEASE don't die on me, Ace Combat!

    This looks very good. The use of real-world locales could add a sense of realism and urgency to missions. I like the new dogfighting feature, but I hope they don't overuse it. With Forza 4 and this hitting at the same time, I'm going to be awfully busy that week.

    Yeah AncientDozer I am sure the story, music and gameplay will be great. I have never been disappointed by an AC game. Also realize that it isn't the first AC game set in our world. The fictional world is my personal preference for story setting when it comes to AC games. I will still be buying this when it comes out. It is an Ace Combat game after all and I have never not bought one when it comes out.

    @toothofymir, complaining on the wrong platform friend, consoles do not support this kind of game, even with a flight stick you must use some keyboard keys if you are playing a serious simulator.

    I'm getting rather very tired of all these arcade flight sims. They made need to make more games like Falcon 4.0, Longbow 2, or F-15. Ya know, flight sims where it takes more than a combination of four colored buttons to win

    this game is so unrealistic it's backwards. he banks to navigate and dogfights with his rudder. he can actually outmanuever other planes on a flat plane.

    I mean, fine, i'm not asking for Falcon 4.0 or even IL-2. But why not just change the graphics and make it futuristic, star wars, alien invasion or something. Don't lie to us and say combat-SIM
