If you like your schnitzels tasty and as big as your torso, Una's is for you. Don't come for a light snack, these meals are hearty and so filling you may not need to eat again for 24 hours, as you'd expect from a German schnitzel house (they serve much more than schnitzel but that's what I always have). The waiters in lederhosen are sometimes a bit gruff, which adds to the charm of this place. Packed to the rafters pretty much every night of the week, this is a real Darlinghurst local favourite. Tip - if there's a group of you they won't let you in until your whole party is there, no matter how much you sweet talk them.

I've got the chance to attend their 40th birthday last week and I could say that the service was very good. The staff were very attentive as they regularly offered the food and drinks. They served finger food that night, and I could say that the food was original but with a little twist to cater for local taste.
I am surely going back to try their daily menu offering!

A pleasure an absolute pleasure, there are two places i love eating out and this is one. I enjoy eating at home alot more but eating out might mean i will come here 1/2 the time. Up to scratch hot food always comes hot and the deliciousness of the chicken just tickles my tongue as it slips through my mouth. tasty stuff!

If you are a fan of schnitzel then this is the place to go. Portion size is MASSIVE, so the schnitzel is likely to completely consume the full dimensions of the dinner plate, with the sides kind of plonked on top as there isn't anywhere else to put them.
The restaurant decor is traditional Australian/German style and the place is mobbed any day of the week.
If you can't get a table straight away then you can wait for a free table in the bar upstairs. Only people waiting for tables really use this bar, so it's pretty much always quiet. It has a huge range of drinks and is manned by a highly knowledgeable bar tender that can mix the most ambiguous yet tasty cocktails.

Consistently great. Big hearty serves of tasty comfort food. Breakfast is ample & cheap. Don't expect fine dining. Toast in the morning is Tip Top sandwich slice (or similar) - but the potato rosti is where it's at! Yum! The wait staff deserve a special mention.... the girls have been there for as long as I can remember and they're always pleasant and helpful. Cash only venue. Highly recommended for no nonsense simple fair that will fill you up on little money. Perfect hangover food too!
