Rain seems to be the story of the week so far at Augusta National. Less than 24 hours after storms downed trees and damaged the grandstand on the 16th hole, the weather returned to the course on Wednesday afternoon to wash out the Par 3 Contest.
FIRST PERSON | DALLAS -- Several tornadoes erupted over the Dallas/Ft. Worth area on Tuesday. Having lived here for more than 10 years, I've become quite used to some of the severe weather warnings that are given. In fact, I might say that I have developed complacency when it comes to these warnings, many times taking them less seriously than I should.
FIRST PERSON | DALLAS -- What started Tuesday as just a simple spring storm unraveled into a monster of super-cell storms producing twin tornadoes in one cell and multiple tornadoes in other cells. The national weather service issued a tornado emergency in both Dallas and Tarrant counties -- something in my years of storm watching I have never seen. The flying debris in the air during this storm was one like I have never witnessed. Lancaster, Texas and Arlington, Texas were declared disaster areas.
IQALUIT, Nunavut - Nunavut says a new survey shows Canada's polar bear population hasn't significantly declined in the last seven years as predicted and that the iconic mammal has not been hurt by climate change.
For all their cuteness, giant pandas are in a tight spot. There are fewer than 1,600 pandas left in the wild, and a new study found that more than half of the bears' already diminished natural habitat will be unlivable in 70 years thanks to climate change.
