Officials: West Nile found in Woodlands mosquitoes

THE WOODLANDS – The Texas Department of State Health Services says two groups of mosquitoes in The Woodlands Township/South Montgomery County area tested positive for the West Nile virus, officials said on Thursday.

Crews will be spraying selected areas to fight the virus.

"No reports of human illness in Montgomery County have been filed with TDSHS at this time. Residents are urged to protect themselves and families from mosquito bites," a news release from The Woodlands Township says.

No further information is available at this time.
