Calvin Harris ft. Kelis: 'Bounce'

As far as popstar statements go, announcing your retirement from singing is always going to be a risky move. Nonetheless, Calvin Harris is hoping to rely on his expertise behind the mixing desk from now on, and has instead called on Kelis - now a club siren in her own right, of course - to fill in the blanks with her sultry tones for his latest track and third album trailer 'Bounce'.

"I can love again tonight/ We bounce to this track/ And I don't care what anybody thinks about that," Kelis purrs over a midi-fied melody reminiscent of a classic Gameboy, before Harris takes the reins on the vocal-less chorus complete with bang-on-trend squiggly synths and head-bopping beats - swerving its arcade-infused squiffs safely away from novelty territory. We're looking forward to his future guest vocalist spots, though something tells us we won't be seeing a Katy Perry hookup anytime soon.
