THE PRESENTATION OF THE “CORVINS’ CASTLE” MUSEUM IN HUNEDOARA
The Corvins’ Castle Museum has been set up in 1974, the institution being hosted by the most important medieval monument in the southwestern part of Transylvania. At the beginning, the themes of the exhibitions were focused on the Middle Ages but shortly after, they were expanded into the collections of archaeology, ethnography, decorative art and old books.
Until 1990 the Corvins’ Castle Museum was part to the Museum of Dacian Civilization in Deva and thereafter it became operational as an independent institution under the coordination of the town council of Hunedoara.
