The Internet music service Pandora sells shares to the public on the New York Stock Exchange Wednesday. Pandora's IPO, or initial public offering, was part of a frenzy for stocks in Internet companies, especially those that connect people and have huge numbers of users. Pandora has more than 90 million.

European aircraft manufacturer Airbus predicts what amenities airline passengers may be enjoying 40 years from now. For example: glass ceilings, glass floors and vitamin-enriched air. The company offered its futuristic vision in a video released before the Paris Air Show, which starts next week.

The influential group, Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, held a meeting Tuesday that featured heavy-hitters from the economic world, including Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke. They warned that the budget crisis is worse than many people assume, and fixing it will be very painful.

NPR has learned that federal regulators are taking steps toward new safety requirements for table saws. These saws have open spinning blades and can cause severe injuries. But the industry is resisting additional requirements.
