Prince Charles

The eldest child of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, the Prince of Wales has been the heir apparent to the British throne since 1952. He had a highly publicized relationship with Lady Diana Spencer, marrying her in a massive wedding in 1981 and divorcing her in 1996 (she died in a car crash in 1997). Prince Charles remarried in 2005, this time to Camilla Parker Bowles. (It is believed their relationship started decades before this, as Diana once commented, "Well, there were three of us in this marriage, so it was a bit crowded.") He had two sons with Diana, William and Harry. The charitable causes he supports includes the preservation of architecture deemed of historical significance.
