Nadine Coyle: 'Insatiable'
And here is that debut solo single. Co-written and produced by Robbie's old mucca Guy Chambers, 'Insatiable' is a bombastic pop chugger - synthy enough for 2010 but not quite modern-sounding - whose combination of power chords, horns and showboating vocals do indeed invite comparisons with Coyle's forebear in the Belting Voice, Smashing Pins sub-category of pop divas. Honestly though, you'd need to be having a really manic monday to think this sounds much like the Bangles.

Oh my goodness, i've seen her music video once and the first impression it gave me was get over yourself! Literally you can see that she is a tart prancing in the wanna-be lime-light!! Doing her very best to beat Cheryl Cole's beautiful style!! Nadine is probably only in the wannabe limelight herself coz she wants to be like Cheryl Cole, well if your up for a competition Nadine prepare to lose!! The song is awful, nothing pleasing for a first solo hit single! If it does get to number # 1 i'll be suprised!! Let's be honest with ourselves Nadine ain't exacly gonna' score the best song of 2010 is she!!? Cheryl so far has managed to break the U.K for the best selling hit single for two years now - beat that Nadine!!
To answer my own question, she doesn't get away with singing out of tune, judging by today's report of poor sales of her single.

to the person below raving about Cheryl, no one can realistically deny that Nadine has the best vocals out of Girl's Aloud, hence her being the lead singer! Cheryl is undoubtedly more popular, because she is pretty and largely due to X Factor that is the only difference - she has a greater background, if Nadine was a judge, performing on the show etc. she'd do as well as Cheryl. This song is ok, not amazing but better than cheryls crap

Qualities of singing don't depend on chart places, do you think Mr. Blobby's a better singer than Nadine. NO!I find it strange that everyone LOVES Cheryl even though a few years ago EVERYONE hated her.I don't need say why. Give Nadine a breakshe OBVIOUSLY has amazing vocal qualities. GOO NADINE XxX

Just heard her album and it's really not bad. Not brilliant but better than I was expecting. Lord knows what possessed her to release "Insatiable" while there are other better songs. "Red Light", "Put Your Hands Up" and "Chained" would have been better choices. "Make A Man Out Of You Yet" is a beautiful ballad that highlights her amazing voice in all it's glory. I can't even begin to imagine Cheryl...erm...singing a song like that. It's definitely my favorite from the whole album. "Sexy Love Affair" is nothing but an horrendous mess of a tune - infact the moment I heard it I thought of Mariah Carey post the "Daydream" era. Whilst the album won't win any awards, it's a clear indication of how good of a solo singer she'll be in the future. Let's just hope the public give her a chance first.

Its not a strong first single. Its a shame that no record label wanted to sign her and give her a chance. She has the talent and potential to be successful as a solo artist with the right song and production. I hope she has stronger material on her album.

Insatiable deserves to be a huge hit! I just heard the album and its very powerful for a first effort. Its going to be a big surprise. Go for it Nadine and whip that hair!
Excuse me Lauren, but only Cheryl has had her time of fame, with the X Factor, plus Nadine has been working on this album for agess, and she's written and produced it, unlike Cheryl.
This is a terrible song!!! Nadine and cheryl had their time of fame. I'm sick of them, they need to move aside and let other people have a chance (hopefully people who can actually sing)!
