Scholars


  • Each scholar page includes contact information (including assistant e-mail and telephone), research areas, AEI event participation, speeches, congressional testimony, books, studies, and short publications.
  • To request an interview with a particular AEI scholar, please contact her or him directly using the information provided on the scholar pages. For help in locating the scholar or for guidance in determining the appropriate expert in a particular topic, please contact the public affairs office at 202.862.4870 or 202.862.4871.
  • Taped interviews are easy to set up with the scholar or assistant. Please contact the public affairs office for live interviews.
  • AEI has an ISDN booth on site that can be used for radio interviews. Please e-mail jesse.blumenthal@aei.org or call 202.862.4870 or email margaret.mccarthy@aei.org or call 202.862.5823 to reserve the booth for a scholar interview and to obtain the necessary ISDN information.
  • AEI now has an in-house studio for live and taped interview that can be booked through VideoLink at 617.340.43000.

Events


  • Any member of the media planning to attend an event should register in advance. Events are always free for media. Please register online or send an e-mail with your name, affiliation and telephone number to jesse.blumenthal@aei.org or maragret.mccarthy@aei.org.
  • Information about, and materials from, AEI events can be found on each program page under the Events section. Events are listed chronologically and program materials are usually posted a few days after the event. Materials always include a video and audio version of the discussion, a summary, as well as short bios of the speakers. Transcripts, papers, power points and other related materials are occasionally added.
  • There is a mult box in the conference room.
  • For live coverage of an event, please contact the public affairs office at least 24 hours prior to the conference.

Publications


  • AEI publications include longer books and monographs as well as shorter publications, that is, studies and reports, working papers, op-eds and longer newspaper and magazine articles, press releases and advisories, speeches, and congressional testimony. In addition, the AEI Outlook series ranges from the Asian, European, Latin American, Middle East, National Security, and Russian Outlooks to the Economic, Financial Services, Health Policy, International Economic, Retirement Policy and Tax Policy Outlooks. The series also includes Education, Energy and Environment, Constitutional, Development Policy, and Liability Outlooks.
  • Information about AEI Press books and monographs can be found in the Books section. Also included are books written by AEI scholars but published elsewhere.
