Sith Inquisitor Records

Inquisitors, the dark geniuses of the Empire, are masters of treachery and dark Force power. Feared as much on the battlefield as they are by prisoners and political enemies, they will stop at nothing to earn themselves more power. The paths to power are many, though. Is your Inquisitor an Assassin, striking down enemies from the shadows with cunning tactics and a skilled blade? Or are you a Sorcerer, a triumph of the dark side, smoldering with ambition and uncovering dark secrets of the Force to destroy your enemies?

Actually, Twi'lek aren't republic only. If you look thru all the lore, there has been plenty who didn't align themselves with the Republic.

Wed, 05/18/2011 - 09:13

It's going to be so awesome. I'm definitely also playing a Twi'lek inquisitor. :D

TOR is not like wow at all, get that straight! TOR is the best game ever! Wow is a sad use-to-be!

Wed, 05/18/2011 - 02:58

Eillack -only like, 3 races are faction specific lol. Just Twi' Lek, Pureblood, and I believe Miraluka. Though I haven't any proof that the Miraluka will be confined to the Republic, I don't think they would put a race that is such a big part of the jedi order as a choice for the Empire. Especially since they made Twi' lek faction specific.

Wed, 05/18/2011 - 02:00

The faction specific aspect of TOR is still one of the biggest turnoffs for me...the pureblood is really the only race that makes sense with being faction specific...I'm tired of WoW-like things in TOR :(

http://www.swtor.com/info/holonet/biographies#empire

You can't go off allegiances of Companion Characters. The Twi'lek race is only playable to the Republic Faction. What you saw was an independent companion that you could get no matter which faction you aligned yourself with.

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 23:54

Twi'lek can't go Empire. They're faction specific, like the Sith Purebloods. Just thought I would let u know

Wed, 05/18/2011 - 04:49

Hey, if the Sith are as powerful as they claim to be, then he woulda been able to take down both the Jedi and Trooper, mkay? Go Jedi dude, the Sith are a lost cause

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 23:56

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 20:48

Yes that "awesome Jedi lady" was getting owned by a Sith (Malgus) until that elite trooper interfered and blew a thermal detonator in his face, basically 2 on 1. ;)

Can you feel the power of the dark side? Join us!

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 19:45

OMG!i just went to a video game page were new games are coming out, and it is simply amazing how many sword and sorcerer games are out there and about to come out, i really can't wait for a breath of fresh air with this new rpgmmo type style game, i am tired of dragons, i personally think this game will be the awaited W.O.W killer most of us want. i just don't understand why people can not think outside the box anymore, we as humans are limited i suppose, but i have a great idea for an mmo, to bad my 2 since doesn't matter ,lololo

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 16:20

I'll play them! exactly:)

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 16:18

I'll play them! exactly:)

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 14:41

Sith Warrior or Sith Inquisitor? I just can't choose witch one to fly first.

Europe release date: 15 September 2011

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 18:48

Do you know how epic it's going to be when this game comes out?! Dude BioWare is sitting on a gold mine, they HAVE to release it soon! Summer would be perfect !!! :D

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 17:55

im hoping that Bioware will give us confirmed release dates at E3/2011 in the next little while. I've already got my PVR ready to record all the Microsoft updates and I'll be streaming the Bioware booth when its announced. come on release date!!

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 17:20

Lucky! You actually get a release date! We Americans just have rumors of a date.

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 14:22

If you are a light-side jedi can you use Force Lightning and Force Choke if you are high lvl or is that restricted to Dark side Sith and vice versa???

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 23:59

@ Dethknot -Hm... Good hypothesis ye got there.

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 20:32

Jedi won't have force choke

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 18:07

I was thinking about this when playing KOTOR, I was playing a Jedi but of course one of my first powers was lightning so I was thinking if I could also do this in the MMO

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 17:11

Exactly what I meant deathknot thanks!

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 16:42

There are light and dark side points, and I assume if you have high dark side points there is a good chance.

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 16:31

Honestly I doubt that man. This is a MMO after all with set classes. Example: Whats the point of going Inquisitor if the Jedi bad ***** wannabe on the the republic can wield the same badassery(lightning life drain etc) that I can. Plus on the lore side of things it just wouldn't make any since for Jedi to delve into the dark side and vice versa. Just my opinion

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 16:20

Yeah you will actually lol, you just gotta train yourself!

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 07:04

Mahalo

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 07:28

Aloha

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 05:56

I know what class I'm making first!!! Now... Assassin or Sorcerer...

Wed, 05/18/2011 - 00:03

@ Vexra -btw, the Sith Warrior and Imperial Agent can go invis if they choose the right talent tree too. I'm guessing that makes them rogues too huh?

Wed, 05/18/2011 - 00:01

@ Vexra -Yes, because Rogues can tank and Mages can Melee and heal.

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 14:20

I'm gonna go SI with Assassin AC because that is something I always wanted to do, and to have double-bladed lightsaber that's a big bonus.

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 12:11

Stop comparing SWTOR classes to WoW classes! A sorcerer is a sorcerer and an assasin is an assasin. Define them like this:

Sorcerer: (Long)Range Damage OR Healing
Assasin: (Medium/Close)Range/Melee Damage OR Tanking

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 06:04

Yeah i know how you're felling but I think I'm going to go Sorcerer. The Assassin is more like a Rogue while the Sorcerer is well.. a Mage.

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 05:06

Guys I know some of the costumes look a little wierd, but there are reasons. The first reason is , we're in the ancient days of star wars. Armor actually did good back then, where as it was just for show in the movies. Dooku, Darth Maul, and Sidious all wore robes, because they weren't front lines fighters. They fought in an occasional personal duel, not a massive battle field against hundreds of combatants. I can guarantee, that the sith who serve on the dark council only wear robes. The second reason is, that Bioware, wanted the game to have a star wars feel, but a unique feel. Everyother star wars game always follows the same dress style, and that quite frankly gets boring. I'll admit, some of the costumes look a little wierd, but try to remeber these are just samples. In the game, I'm sure you can design your armor in any number of combinations. Trust me it will look fine. Some armors in galaxies, looked like a wierd al costume.

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 20:03

Jedi all wore robes in the movies, too. I always assumed it had to do with them relying on the force and needing flexibility and for their light saber technique to be unhindered by heavy, restrictive armor. The warrior armor looks sweet! I don't know about the inquisitor robes that I've seen, but I agree that there will probably be lots of customization options. Can't wait to find out!

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 07:47

I totally agree. The heavy armor for frontal fighter(sith warrior) makes sense and actually does fit the star wars universe (both SWTOR and movies eras)- I mean... even Darth Vader himself wore some really heavy and scary armor. As for the reason why Sith wore simple robes in the movies... in the timeline of the episodes I-VI "rule of two" still applied. When you have only 2 sith for a whole galaxy at a time, you can't risk drawing too much attention. The greatest weapon in sith arsenal during that time period was subtlety, stealth and creating mistrust from the shadows. Hence the robes. Palpatine couldn't waltz around the senate in a fancy sith robes even if he wanted.

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 03:57

I'm also getting tired of the world of warcraft/dungeons&dragon class names. Sith Sorcerer!!?? Are you freakin serious??!! Why not just make it Sith Mage? *sarcasm*

Why not put a little creativity into the naming like, Sith Chronicler, Sith Ambassador. If the Sith Inquisitor takes after Palpatine, i think these names would fit the description.

Also, wtf is up with "Jedi Sage." You couldn't get more medieval if you found a time machine and went back to the renaissance era. Try "Jedi Oracle" or maybe Jedi Protector of Knowledge(Jedi Protector for short)

So much about this game IS NOT STAR WARS LIKE. US FANS WANT A FULL STAR WARS FEELING GAME. Last time I checked, sith dont run around looking like Metal Tin cans. Dark Jedi wear robes, just like any other Force Wielder. I cant wait for this game to come out, but some of it just peeves me off.

Wed, 05/18/2011 - 00:36

@James_S:

Fo sho, dude.

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 23:23

Force Unleashed stunk on ice, especially the second one

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 22:32

@DarthTeron:

George Lucas is probably in Vegas doing body shots off of a stripper and doesn't give a crap about Bioware or some video game that's not The Force Unleashed. Also, what's an Inquisitor going to do? Ask questions? What's a Sage going to do? Chant rhyming riddles and not let an opponent cross a rope bridge? :)

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 21:45

@Gravenom wise words indeed if you hold to the teachings of the Jedi and there Ilk.

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 20:35

Also, @Maginus:

The community may have voted for Sage, but it was a multiple choice poll. I think there are better names than Sage, but we only got to pick from the options that Bioware offered.

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 20:32

Dude, I sort of agree with Roostercod concerning the non-Star Warsy feel of some of the names. Inquisitor makes me think of a Spanish guy burning non-Catholics. Maybe Sith Shadow, and rename the Consular's AC Shadow the Jedi Berserker or Jedi Blade Master or something? Sage makes me think of an old Chinese guy burning incense in a mountaintop Buddhist shrine. Maybe Jedi Keeper or Jedi Defender. Sorceror makes me think of Merlin or someone using magic to conjure up spells, not the Force. Maybe Sith Force Master or something? Assassin is cool, though.

I have to say that I do really like the Warrior armor, though. If that doesn't evoke Vader's brand of bad@ss, I don't know what would. Maybe just offer some more traditional Star Wars robes to go along side the radical new stuff and please everybody.

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 19:33

Funny how many replies this single silly post had.
In the words of Ben Kenobi: Who's the more foolish...the fool or the fool who tries to argue with him? :)

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 18:09

Then send a letter to Bioware to make them correct their "mistake".

Tue, 05/17/2011 - 16:24

I meant opponents lol not allies :)
