I heard that these markets are starting again this week. Hip hip hoorah. I love shopping here during my lunchbreak on a Wednesday. I get my lunch from one of the stalls, eat it, and then buy fresh fruit and veg for the rest of the week and the weekend. I even bought flowers for my wife one week and they lasted ages. A lot longer than any other flowers I've ever bought for her (although she would say I don't buy them for her enough!).

Barb from CBD says:

I also love buying the flowers. They are cheaper than retail so it's great to be able to afford fresh flowers on a regular basis.

I told a friend of mine about the markets and she was so delighted to be able to buy different cheeses at a reduced price. It was unfortunate that the use-by dates had expired so a word of warning to other shoppers.

anyone know when the markets will be back in the CBD? I left a message for someone to call me this morning to confirm but heard nothing. when I checked on the "show dates" on the markets website, today was highlighted as being back so I was disappointed when I walked up there to find wide open space.

Hi Ada

Sorry you made a wasted journey. We do rely on market traders to notify us of changes to their regular trading hours, but unfortunately this one must have slipped through the cracks.

We can confirm that the City Farmers Markets return on Wednesday 2 February.

Kind regards from the team at ourbrisbane.com

Does anyone know where the guy with the gorgeous little tarts/cakes went? Used to be a few stalls down on your left coming from the mall. Went up there today and he wasn't there, SO disappointed!
