Welcome to Drewvale
Drewvale is Brisbane's most southerly suburb and is a developing area with convenient access to major roadways including Beaudesert Road, Mount Lindesay Highway and both the Gateway and Logan Motorways.
There is a green corridor of natural areas and wildlife in a band about 40 kilometres long stretching from the Karawatha Forest across to Greenbank. Drewvale sits within that green corridor and some homes are on the border of the forest. According to the Karawatha Protection Society, the area contains up to 650 different plant species and habitat for rare or endangered birds and wildlife.
Drewvale consists of modern houses as Drewvale is a relatively new suburb, only named in 1971 with boundaries confirmed in 1975.
The campuses of Stretton College are nearby and Drewvale is a suburb popular with families.
