  • Before tonight's match against France it was reported that the French team have had a code of conduct introduced that includes all of the team HAVING to sing their National Anthem. What a great idea - and one that is long overdue for the England squad. If they are LUCKY enough to be picked to play for their country, they should show their appreciation and respect accordingly - especially when you hear how heartily the fans (who have paid good money - in hard times - to see their team perform) sing for their country. • Encourage all of our players to sing our National Anthem by having a warm-up session when they sing "God save our Gracious team, God save our Noble team; God save our Team. Send us Victorious, Happy and Glorious, Long to reign over us, God Save Our Teammm! ." They'll all do it. Be sure that they have the words right when they're out on the turf as in 'Queen' and 'Her', but for practice, this version will Really get them together OkOKOK!!! . I've mailed this to Rooney, and it just might work.By fastman (7 months ago)

  • Signor Capello ... you are no doubt right to concentrate on the younger players and England's future success ... however, you should have done the decent thing and spoken to Beckham personally before releasing comments to the media. Heck, I'm not even a die-hard footie fan, but Beckham's earned my respect both on and off the pitch and he sure as heck deserves yours.By anonymous (9 months ago)
  • I'm happy that you have the support of the FA and I agree with their decision. I would suggest that you might look at other divisions for players - it's the players who need to change, not the manager. There are good English players other than in the Premier Division, who would appreciate a chance to play for their country. We support you, Fabio!By Phil (10 months ago)
