That big summon thing reminds me of Impact from Goemon hahaha.
I've gotta say, I really like Sting's Department Heaven games, but after 3 titles that kooky interface is starting to look NORMAL!
Click the new link button (right-most button near the post tools), and it'll take you to a page with that comment, where you can 'like' it, or tweet it.
Lol, it does sort of look like ham and cheese. I think it's taro (in the bowl) and yam/sweet potato (the orange stuff) though, and that thing leaning on the bowl is banana leaf rice. It's pretty typical malaysian food (or anywhere southeast asia I guess)
Ahhh, yeah I didn't know anything about OGs other than it was a combination of the two, didn't know it changed anything. That makes sense now, though.
@kamiboy: "You can't remake nostalgia" is a pretty good explanation of why so many people would be let down. I'm a pretty big FFVII fanboy (I won't try to convince people it's the best game ever, lol, though it's a lot better than the modest detractors think), and I thought I'd like a remake up until a few weeks ago when someone was making the point that so much of what made the original good cannot be remade. I say if people like the original so much, go play the original on PSN *goes off to play the original*
Yeah, exactly. Plus it would not be a playable version of the PS3 tech demo like everyone thinks. At most, the remake would have smoothed out polygons and higher quality audio (and maybe a clean script for the US release).
And even if they could recreate the entire world in 3D, I'd still like the original pre-rendered 2D backgrounds more. They aren't as horribly dated as most people think.
Well then I have no idea what the '2nd' means, lol
Their numbering system just went from esoteric to ambiguous
Lol, on the website they've got Slime dumplings. They don't have that hand resting in vomit yet, but in my experience of foods that do not photograph well, I'm guessing it's red bean and ice, hahaha.
Scrap iron... sub-machinegun bullets... cutie girl figure! They are doing a bang-up job with this one, Yakuza is one of the few great franchises left to get consistent releases.
Same as the JP version of the game... Naoto's not in it though.
@xanhisam: The main character's name is Mosquito Lemon. I think they made a mistake on the website.
Lol, me too (the falling asleep part). The soundtrack is what keeps me going back to P3/4. Sometimes I listen to those songs while playing a different game, Shoji Meguro is too good.
SRT naming is pretty esoteric. Basically 第2次 means that this is the second game in the series, not a sequel.
For example, SRT OG was the first OG game, and SRT OG2 was its sequel (same characters, story continuation, etc.) GENERATIONs is a remake of SRT OG1 and 2 (hence Generations, and not Generation). Gaiden, as you probably know, means side-story, not a real sequel.
2nd SRT OG means this is a new game with new characters and story, but bears the OG (no licensed characters) title.
edit: Lol, NanaMiku beat me to it
Witzbold help, I want to play that, but I know I can't!!
Those are what some artists use when they don't have a real model to work on. Anything else I'd say would just be speculation (art class level?!!?!)

I'd like some Armored Core historian to come in and tell me how many more or less parts this is than the rest of the games. The one problem I've had with current gen sequels is that they usually offer less 'content' in exchange for better graphics (which isn't always a bad thing, though it can be if you're playing a racing game and they took your favorite car out... grrrr....)
Anyway, 500 seems like a lot, especially with how gorgeous those graphics are. If I didn't suck so horribly at these games, I would totally be using the crazy railgun-laser thing in that screenshot.
Me too, but if it's anything like a Final Fantasy elixer... blech!
Lol, come on, the Tales games have some of the most innovative battle systems in RPG history. They are almost all action-based and borrow more from fighting games than they do RPGs.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'mma go to a Tales forum and talk about how the cooking in that game isn't up to snuff with synthesizing in the Atelier games
Now I wonder if 100 hours was an arbitrary number they made up to say, "Hey, this is fun for hours and hours!", or if there's some crazy extra mode they didn't reveal. I've definitely seen 12 minute playthroughs of the XBLA version on youtube.
Yeah that's what I was saying earlier, I bought Shining Force Neo under the assumption that it would have... you know... people moving around on a grid and evolving into more awesome versions of themselves after they get to level 20.
OK, this might just be personal experience, but I know I definitely went and played Parasite Eve when I heard about 3rd Birthday. I was like, 'Oh right, Parasite Eve, that game my friend was raving about a long time ago." I know a bunch of other people did the same, because you saw all these game forums lighting up with, "yo man, I'm playing PE1 now and it's awesome, blah blah blah".
I honestly could care less about Third Birthday, because to me, PE2 was just as atrocious. They made a halfway innovative RPG into a boring 3rd-person survival horror game with terrible controls (redundancy?).
@salarta: I find your adoration of this videogame woman a little off-putting, and your lambasting of horny teenage guys is suspect (I mean, you were probably a teenager when Parasite Eve first came out, and if you weren't, than that means you're either over 30 or you're still a teenager now...).
I doubt this will bring you much solace, but the Third Birthday actually revived interest in the original Parasite Eve games. If not for this game, Aya's "legacy" would have probably been buried, just like every other late 90s Square game that wasn't Final Fantasy.
They should toss their entire budget into one last hope, one final RPG... The Final Fantasy!
If only they'd ported Rengou vs ZAFT II+ to PSP instead of just the first one :(
I know most people like Gundam vs Gundam better, but I love my Seed grunt units.
But yeah, with compression technology now, I'm not surprised by any PSP game. So long as there isn't a lot of FMV and voice acting they can easily fit most PS2 games in. I think Gran Turismo is one of the best examples.
Hahaha, wtf! I just looked this dude up and he actually drew Gundam Seed porn. Now does he flip and do 'Shining Porn' on the underground?
Also I wrote "has their been a turn-based" instead of "has there been a turn-based" in my last comment. In any case, there hasn't, besides Shining Feather. I'll never forget the day I got burned by Shining Force Neo, lol.
