    @Hirasugi

    um, no.. I'm not talking about graphics at all. You must absolutely love this game or something lmao

    What I meant by dull, is that it looks like only a mindless idiot who likes mashing buttons and running around saving the world in another cliche manner would find joy in playing this game... so next time when you think you know what I'm talking about, feel free to put some more words in my mouth :] thanks pal bye.

    i just can't believe you guys!!!! why the F are you talking about the reviewer???!!! it's a GAME review not a reviewer review lol

  • VercettiTommyy

    Posted May 23, 2011 1:31 am PT

    The game isn't horrible, but no way should it have a rating equal to Fable III's. 5.5-6 should do.

  • VercettiTommyy

    Posted May 23, 2011 1:29 am PT

    Joan d'Arc (2003) had better graphics and waaaay better animations. It looks HORRIBLE. The reviewer must have been drunk while making this video. Honestly.

    The baddies in this game look quite stupid. During the stealth kill at 3:00 I was yelling "Turn round you idiot!"

    why they did'nt relase the game for ps3 that's nestey

    Yeah... there's no freaking way this game is better than Brink. This looks plain dull.

  • Mudvaynekid

    Posted May 21, 2011 5:02 pm PT

    So Brink gets a 6 and this gets a 7? hmm I would surely trade my FPS' for a Rich RPG any day (or any good RPG for that matter) But come on Brink looks eight times better then this game and its very creative and brings something new! So how did this game beat Brink again?(I undertsnad ones an FPS and the other is an Action RPG but seriously?)

    oh well back to playing the best RPG of the year if not the decade! The Witcher 2!!

    @McGeinstein

    Perhaps...(Gasp)...its gameplay!!!

    Seriously, does the fact that the game does not have mindblowing graphics negate the value of the experience? By that logic all games before 2007 are terrible because their not pretty. Your missing out if you can only rely on outward appearances to judge a game's worth.

    Looks very dull, how did this game get a 7.0?

  • Targzissian

    Posted May 21, 2011 3:11 am PT

    The environments look good, but I suspect the faulty collision detection will limit the sense of immersion. I might pick this up at some point, but it's not a must play title.

    uninspired, there's nothing even remotely original, this may have been a good game 2-3 years ago but now it just seems boring

    Posted May 20, 2011 8:46 am PT

    This sounds and looks like a 6, at best. Even just from this video, it's oozing in bland mediocrity and seems to be lacking any actual inspiration to be something worthwhile.

    This reviewer sounds like one of the Elcor from Mass Effect or those guys who have their balls cut off in Dragon Age.

    Game looks very boring. Quite how they can give it a 7, especially given that the reviewer is slating it and not even harshly, is beyond me.

    Review made sense ... didn't really touch on the poor visuals though ... are we just assuming this is a budget game so a lack of modern visuals is expected? Also McShae has got to bring some of his enthusiasm from the Hotspot into these video reviews.

    reviewer for this game is always dull i like the cool guy everyone loves and the fat guy who lost weight

  • StopFear

    Posted May 19, 2011 4:48 pm PT

    When I saw the part where the character turns to avoid fire I knew this is not for me. No modern game can have that poor animation for characters.

    I don't know how they decide what rating to give games in their reviews, but every time this guy is the narrator the games seems to get overrated.

    @ColoradoKindBud
    I agree with you, but I think he meant that there isn't any multiple choice dilaogue. Example could we call Fallout 3 or New Vegas still an RPG if it lost it's dialogue? It would be like Borderlands. More of a shooter/hack&slash; gear collecting game with a one sided story so called 3Dish Diablo clones(Hellgate London).

    I was expecting a bit higher score, but at least the review noticed some of the greater parts of The First Templar. I wasn't too bothered by collision detection (for once). And thank you for noticing the open gameplay; some critics are none too bright on the matter.

    The First Templar is a great game and I hope this will entice at least a few more people.

  • Tidal_Abyss

    I bought this the other day for cheap, even though I knew it wouldn't score very well, for me, I can find enjoyment in a game even if it's scoring below 8. I know I won't get to it anytime soon because I'm too busy with The Witcher 2, but, I will eventually, and in the meantime, I just raised PC physical copy sales -and supported a budget game, hey, they have their place.

    prohogo2 Posted May 18, 2011 11:50 pm PT This is not a RPG! There are 0 elements of RP games. Stop confusing people! This is a pure action game aka gears of war with swords. Nothing more, nothing less.

    Ummm, you earn exp points that you can use in skill trees to give your character upgrades/health/vitality, new moves/spells etc. Pretty RPG'ish if you ask me.
    I think it's an RPG just as much as Fable is an RPG. Yeah, it's totally action-oriented but you get quests, multiple paths & stat building. It's more Fable than Gears, that's for sure...
