Lady GaGa has declared that she can't travel down a highway without thinking of legendary rocker Bruce Springsteen.
Springsteen is known for expressing his love of the open road in songs like 'Thunder Road', 'Born to Run' and 'Racing in the Street'.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee's vivid descriptions of speeding down the interstate have left a significant impression on GaGa.
She spoke of her admiration of Springsteen on MTV's Lady GaGa: Inside the Outside special, saying: "Whenever I surge down a highway, I can't not think about Bruce Springsteen… That's what's great about real legends. They own the whole f**king interstate."
The musician even called in Springsteen's saxophonist Clarence Clemons to play on the Born This Way track 'Hair'.
GaGa went on to profess that her parents, Joseph and Cynthia, inspired her to become a musician by introducing her to the work of Springsteen and many other rock icons.
"It's totally their fault," she said. "Don't spoon-feed me the Beatles and Stevie Wonder and Bruce Springsteen and Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin and Elton John, and expect for me not to turn out this way!"
The 'Judas' popstar has sold more than 1.1m copies of her sophomore LP Born This Way in the US alone.
