Independent Reports are written by research firms with no brokerage or investment banking divisions. Independent research firms are paid only for the research they produce, and are not dependent on banking or broker commissions.
Broker Reports are written by analysts employed by brokerage firms. These firms have large research staffs, extensive coverage, and long-term institutional knowledge of the industries and companies they cover.
