Save Our Pubs

Help CAMRA to save you local
With the most recent CGA report highlighting that 29 pubs are closing every week, CAMRA has to do more than ever to support local pubs through these difficult times.

CAMRA's own research shows that 84% of people believe a pub is as essential to village life as a shop or post office. Despite their popularity pubs are still under threat and need our help.

CAMRA is calling on everyone to join the Save Our Pubs campaign to put a stop to the closure of British pubs.

Information on our weeks of action and activities, forums and available resources can be found on this part of the site.

What can I do?
  1. Read through this page and download any resources that you think may help.

  2. Browse our forum to get some campaigning ideas and advice.

  3. Contact your local CAMRA branch and see what further advice they can give you.

  4. If a particular pub is under threat in your area you can also contact your local MP and ask them for help.

  5. Most importantly, give your pubs support by continuing to visit them on a regular basis!

National Cask Ale Week Roundup
6-13 April 2009

Last week National Cask Ale Week kicked off with a call from Melanie Sykes to make Monday 6th April National Beer Day.

Also joining Melanie was celebrity real ale fan Oz Clarke who held a beer master class at St Pancras station and called on everyone to try real ale at least once during National Cask Ale Week.

Commuters and travelers at St Pancras station were treated to samples of real ales from a number of British breweries.

For a full programme of events that took place please see www.caskaleweek.co.uk
