Hat Trick International
Hat Trick International is the distribution arm of Hat Trick Productions, one of the UK's most successful independent production companies. Established in 1998 to represent Hat Trick's formats and finished programmes it now exploits all of Hat Trick's Intellectual property across the globe. In 2009 we opened the doors to third party programming, including that from factual producer Plum Pictures and Toff Media (comedy).
Today HTI's catalogue consists of over 300 hours of finished programmes plus 30 formats spanning comedy, drama, entertainment and factual genres. We work across all media worldwide, working with both international broadcasters as well as a range of producers, either on straight licensing or co-production models.
Our international success stories include the US/UK co-pro Episodes which was licensed to 186 countries within 3 months of its UK premiere, BBC2 factual series James May's Man Lab which has sold to over 138 countries, multi award winning format Have I Got News For You which has been remade in 12 countries (and never not been recommissioned) and comedy Worst Week of My Life which has been remade in the US, Italy, France and Germany as well as the original version being licensed into 156 countries.
