Treyarch has revealed that Call of Duty: Black Ops will contain a "unique" four-player online co-op mode in addition to the standard single-player and multiplayer modes.

Speaking at an Activision press conference held earlier in the week, Treyarch Studio Head Mark Lamia said:

"The game will also feature distinct multiplayer and co-op modes, and though specifics regarding our co-op mode have not yet been revealed I can tell you that we'll be delivering a unique online co-op mode for up to four players, with local split-screen for two."

"We very much listened to what people said about the Zombies gameplay that we made for World at War," said Lamia in an interview with GamerZines later, "and while we haven't announced what our co-op mode is, I think regardless that's a co-op gameplay mode and there are a lot of things to garner from that."

Could Zombies be returning to Call of Duty? We'd bet our bottom dollar.

Call of Duty: Black Ops launches on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii and PC on November 9th, and you can check out the full interview with Lamia and Community Manager Josh Olin by clicking the link to your right.
