1/26/11: Linda Taggart asks our prayers for her husband James Taggart. He has been in the hospital for 89 days, most of which were in the Cardiac Intensive Care unit. It has been touch and go, but it is beginning to be hopeful that he will come through this. Linda has been at his side throughout; our prayers will not only help Jim, but will also be comforting to Linda.

11/15/10:  Gerard Sloyan, CBA member since 1953 and an important contributor to the NAB New Testament, was reported locally to have been hospitalized with a heart problem several weks ago; a pacemaker was installed but a number of complications have kept him hospitalized and put him through various rehabilitation programs.  He is presently doing better and making progress at the Washington Adventist Hospital, Acute Care Rehabilitation Center,  7600Carrol Avenue, Tacoma Park, MD 20912.  He said he would be grateful for our prauers for this continued recovery.  When I spoke to him of Michael Glazier he expressed gratitude to Michael for the same thing many of us are grateful for, i.e., seeing our written works into print.

11/1/10:  A letter from CBA Honorary Life Member Michael Glazier details the problems he has been having since our last appeal for prayers (see below: 4/2/10).  He has been in the hospital eight times, had three bouts with pneumonia and a series of other ailments.  He received “great treatment” at the Mayo Clinic and was to return to their Jackson branch on November 12th, “and please God that will be the end of my hospital trips.”  His wife, Joan, known to many of us, had to have a heart operation, “but is in great form again.”  They will be living in Clearwater, Florida. They will be grateful for our continued prayers.

2/4/10:
Michael Glazier, CBA Honorary Life Member and friend of many has suffered a stroke and would welcome our prayers for his full recovery. Joan Glazier, Michael’s wife, called with the information. The stroke occurred a couple of weeks ago and he has been in the hospital since then. Joan reports it as a “minor” stroke; his left side was paralyzed for a time. He has been undergoing rehab and now moves well with a walker. It is expected that the rehab will continue for some time, after which he will be back to normal. There was no involvement of eyesight or the brain. Michael, as we all know, has been extensively involved in publishing Scripture studies, among other things, has helped many of us in that area, and generally has been a good friend to many of us. I’m sure we would want to pray for his rapid and complete recovery.

11/6/09: “Dan Harrington is responding very well to treatments for prostate cancer. He is grateful for your many thoughts and prayers.”
