I have always felt admiration for the old URRSS, and now for Russia and Russian People.
Good piece and a nice take on Russian affairs from an oblique (yet revealing) perspective.
I like to read RIA Novosti.I just red the infographics on the S-400 system and 10 km is 30000 feet and not 10000.
CONGRATULATIONS TO RUSSIA AND ITS PEOPLE FOR BEING AWARDED THE HONOUR OF HOSTING THE FIFA WORLD CUP IN 2018.
No offense to Wikileaks, and they obviously have made an impact with their leaks, but if these petty and unimaginative quips are the product of the minds and character of American analysts, embassy workers, and of the whole cohort that is supposed to provide PERTINENT, INCISIVE ANALYSES, then is it not better to spend our funds on domestic and foreign aid and goodwill programs?

Regarding the unspeakable cruelty to the donkey forced to parasail.
I'm outraged about the incident with the donkey and the parachute.
In Tehran we appreciate the work RIA Novosti does. We appreciate it so much that I think RIA deserves to be a part of Omar Khayyam's rubaiyat.
There is very little about RIA Novosti that I would change. It is a fantastic site with many interesting articles.
All of these adoptions of Russian children should be orchestrated through the Russian Orthodox Patriarchate through the myriad of canonical Orthodox jurisdictions currently within the United States.
Buenos! In Spain, we have a saying "he who changes, wins the fight with the bull". RIA Novosti has changed its site and will win.
